Student Services Committee (SSC): Student-at-Large
The University administers a number of student services designated to enhance the academic program of the university and provide enrichment beyond the academic domain. These services are supported, in whole or in part, through non-tuition related compulsory ancillary fees levied by the University on the student body. It is therefore essential that there be genuine student involvement in establishing the levels of fees charged for these services. The Student Services Committee is a body of students whose duty is to provide oversight on the increases and proposed changes to these ancillary fees. The USC has two student-at-large volunteer positions available on this year's SSC. There will be 2-3 hours of time required each month for prep and meetings. PrideUSC Committee: PrideUSC (formerly PrideWestern) is hiring student volunteers for our 24/25 executive team! No previous experience is required, but passion for 2SLGBTQIA+ justice and liberation is essential. We have a variety of portfolios and positions to choose from, each of which will work together to make a difference on and off campus. As well, there is an expectation to attend meetings and PrideUSC-organized events (with flexibility based on individual circumstances). Available Positions:

Grants & Recognition Committee Member: The Grants & Recognition Committee is a body that oversees the distribution of monetary grants to student groups and recognition awards to individual students. Committee Members will work collaboratively with the Grants & Recognition Coordinator and the Vice-President Student Services to facilitate the Grants Program, presiding over its disbursement to clubs and other student groups. Productions Crew: The University Students’ Council at Western University is seeking Western students for part-time employment. The USC Productions Crew has the opportunity to directly impact student life and engagement at the University Students’ Council at Western University by participating in the execution of small- and large-scale events and programming. This position will allow for a direct impact on the enhancement of USC’s diverse range of operations. Reporting to the Productions Manager, the Productions Crew is responsible for providing hands-on support and staffing for events and initiatives undertaken by the USC.
