Clubs Governance Board Member - 2025-2026 The Clubs Governance Board acts as the oversight body that governs the clubs community on campus by enforcing and overseeing policies and procedures that ensure fairness in the clubs culture. The hired Clubs Governance Board (CGB) members play a crucial role in the enforcement and overseeing of the USC’s clubs policies and procedures. Items that may be on meeting agendas include addressing club ratification applications, voting on proposed amendments to club policy and procedure, and holding USC club hearings and sanctions. Digital Media Intern: The Digital Media Intern, under the direction of the Manager, Public Relations will focus on the development of engaging campaigns and creative content for our hospitality department. The Digital Media Intern will engage our students through the Wave and Spoke digital media channels, with the purpose of increased customer counts, event attendance and customer loyalty. In addition to the digital channels, this role will work with the Creative department on physical advertising assets including posters, photos and video content for posting on Food & Beverage social media channels. The Digital Media Intern will work closely with the Senior Manager, Hospitality Services to establish restaurant brand positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments. They will lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, with direct support of the Creative and Promotions department. This role will participate in content creation, social media posting and scheduling. In addition, they will monitor and update content on the Spoke and Wave website and build a database of website club subscribers for the purpose of text and email marketing, which will focus on special offers, promotions and secret menus. The goal of this position is to grow customer engagement driving increased customer visits to the Spoke and the Wave, solicit customer feedback and build subscribers to F&B social media accounts and website. About the Intern Program: The USC is excited to be offering seven full time internship roles beginning in June, 2025. These various roles will span different departments and will give all Interns an opportunity to work on projects in their respective areas, while contributing to improving the student experience for other Western students. These opportunities will only be available to those who are graduating from an undergraduate/professional program at Western this year, or those who are willing to take a year off from their undergraduate or professional level program. These positions will be Monday-Friday and will require the successful candidate to be in the office on a full-time basis. Social Media Student Outreach Intern: Under the direction of the Promotions Manager, the Social Media Student Outreach Intern will engage and connect with students and the community through the USC’s social media channels. As a steward of the USC, the Social Media Outreach Intern will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strategically create and execute communication plans that reflect the USC’s branding and goals to the student body. This often includes using in-person and digital marketing tactics alongside the Social Media Promotions & Mobilization Intern. In addition, the Social Media Student Outreach Intern will analyze and report on metrics related to the USC’s accounts, social media and marketing trends to provide constructive feedback as needed. PurpleCare Trustee: The Student at Large Trustee position for the University Students’ Council Health and Wellness Trust Fund is a multifaceted position that requires the use of many skills. At the forefront you are a fiduciary of the Trust Fund, responsible for the oversight and compliance of the Trust and all of its services providers including the consultant, administrators, insurers, auditors and legal counsel. This oversight and compliance involves the development, monitoring and adhering to the values, goals and strategy of the Trust Fund. We are currently looking for 5 students at large to join the PurpleCare Trust as Student Trustees, for the 2025-2026 year. The Student at Large Trustee position for the University Students’ Council Health and Wellness Trust Fund is a multifaceted position that requires the use of many skills. At the forefront you are a fiduciary of the Trust Fund, responsible for the oversight and compliance of the Trust and all of its services providers including the consultant, administrators, insurers, auditors and legal counsel.
