Student Feedback

Sydney Turner

The feedback portfolio’s primary goal is to get students’ opinions on our various advocacy and programming initiatives in order to better serve students in the future. We try to find new and innovative ways to garner student feedback.

Getting Involved

There are many ways to help out the Feedback portfolio! We are constantly seeking feedback from students in order to help us best serve students. We collect feedback via surveys, in-person polling, video interviews, and focus groups.

Surveys are our primary source of feedback, as they enable us to easily check in with the general student body. Below are our active surveys along with their deadlines.

Focus Groups

Focus groups are small groups of undergraduate students that meet on a short-term basis to provide their first-person perspectives on student-facing issues being addressed by the USC. We use focus groups as a way to speak to students in a small group setting in order to get a better sense of what they want and need from their student union. Focus groups typically involve 20-30 students and are an excellent low-commitment opportunity to help the USC improve its programming and advocacy initiatives. They consist of short meetings with the focus group leader(s) and participants, which are usually 1-2 hours in length. You may be asked to fill out additional short surveys or have one-on-one meetings with the focus group leader(s), but these may not be required. Focus groups help the USC tremendously, as they enable us to obtain real, tangible data that will help us better serve students.

If you are interested in being a part of any USC focus group, please fill out the contact form! By doing so, you agree that you understand what focus groups are and the commitment they require.
