Role

Habiba Munniwala is Vice President Student Services and is responsible for overseeing USC student services including clubs, the PurpleCARE health and dental plan, and transportation operations. She also manages the USC’s Grant Program, and long-standing student services such as the Peer Support Center and Early Outreach, while spearheading special service projects that strengthen the USC. In addition, Habiba’s portfolio runs professional development initiatives, providing students with resources and opportunities to build essential skills for their future success.

Habiba graduated from Western University with an Honours Specialization in Political Science and a Minor in Religious Studies. Driven by an interest in societal structures, governance, and community advocacy, Habiba has built a versatile undergraduate profile that bridges robust student leadership and grassroots community volunteering. She was the President of Pangea, a popular club on campus, a Social Science Soph; and was actively involved in both the Political Science Association and the Pakistani Student Association.

Habiba has worked across a wide-range of industries and has dedicated her time to meaningful volunteer initiatives, including contributing to a policy writing team, supporting the John Howard Society, and volunteering for SickKids.

Looking to the future, Habiba plans to channel her academic background in political systems and policy into a career in law, with the ultimate goal of working within the legal field to drive meaningful advocacy and professional excellence.

Originally from Milton, Ontario, Habiba is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to stay active, whether she is snowboarding, paddleboarding, skating, or finding a new adventure. Closer to home, Habiba also loves to unwind by cooking, baking, and reading.
