Early Outreach Executive Committee
PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Early Outreach Conference (REACH) is a USC-run conference that takes place every May for youth in the city of London and Middlesex County. REACH recognizes that many students decide their future educational pathways at an early age and hopes to provide the youth with information and tools to help them make well-informed decisions. The organization works with the local school boards to identify schools that have been deemed to have a higher population of students that may think of post-secondary education as out of their “reach”. The Early Outreach Executive team will work from October 2026 until May 2027 to plan, organize and implement a 3-day conference that takes place over a weekend in May 2027 (date TBD). At the conference, participants will learn about the different opportunities they can pursue for future education and receive guidance and motivation from both Western University students and professors.
These positions require varying time commitments depending on the time of the year. Approximately 2 – 5 hours of work will be required per week. Role descriptions can be found below.
** The Executive Committee will be required to be physically present in London for the conference weekend in May 2027 (date TBD)**
