The University Students’ Council (USC) and On Canada Project will be hosting a Twitter Spaces Conversation with Western students and alumni to discuss sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). While this academic year is coming to a close, we know the impacts of SGBV on campus will continue to affect students. The traumatic nature of sexual and gender-based violence extended beyond campus, triggering many alumni who experienced, or know someone who experienced, sexual violence.
The end of the school year does not mean it is the end of the discussion. We hope to see you join our Twitter Spaces conversation.

While sexual and gender-based violence on campus is an issue that affects our society beyond Western, there is still a need for the university to address this longstanding issue. The joint event will bring together Western University students and alumni to say it’s been time for change and to inspire our community to ensure that strides are made to address sexual and gender-based violence.
