Role
Steve graduated from Western University this past year with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) with distinction. Passionate about exploring the intersections of leadership and healthcare, Steve has built a diverse foundation spanning extensive clinical practice, grassroots student government, and provincial professional advocacy.
He served as the President of the Faculty of Health Sciences Students’ Council (FHSSC) and the Western-Fanshawe Nursing Students’ Association (WFNSA); was a three-time Off Campus (OC) Orientation leader (Soph); a Faculty of Health Sciences Student Volunteer, and a Board Member for the Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO).
Steve has accumulated approximately 700 hours of diverse clinical nursing experience across Long-Term Care, Geriatric Rehab, General Surgery, and Diabetes Education; participated in prestigious international cohorts and study abroad opportunities across Europe and Asia, notably, the Beaverbrook Vimy Prize Cohort and a study abroad term at the National University of Singapore. Looking ahead, Steve aims to simultaneously contribute to the profession through primary care, education, leadership, scholarship, professional advocacy, and political action.
Originally from Shanghai and Singapore, Steve currently calls London home. Outside of academics and professional advocacy, Steve is a history trivia enthusiast who enjoys golfing, keeping up with tech, and exploring food vlogs.
