O-Crew OCrew drives the logistical success of USC programming during OWeek. OCrew’s impact is immense, as they work behind the scenes to ensure events run smoothly throughout the week. From coordinating load-ins for the Soph teams and first years, to helping with first-year move-ins, to setting up, taking down and facilitating USC OWeek events, OCrew makes every step of the experience seamless. OCrew members are not just contributors—they're leaders. They take charge of event execution, ensuring first-years feel welcomed, engaged, and leave with positive memories of OWeek. This role involves working with the Vice President Orientation & Programming (VPOP) and OCrew LT to deliver USC programming during O-Week. OCrew members ensure the success of OWeek through late-night shifts (as with other orientation leader roles) along with maintaining punctuality, reliability and a strong work ethic throughout their term. Faculty Soph  A Soph is an upper-year, student mentor who supports the social and academic transition of incoming students – this, throughout Orientation Week and the entirety of the academic year. In addition to their community building role, a Soph works to connect students to relevant supports, resources, and opportunities. As a representative of their constituency and the larger Western community, a Soph acts as a positive role model and contributes to the creation of a safe and inclusive environment on campus for Western students and staff. USC Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing authority for the University Students’ Council of Western University; members have a fiduciary obligation to the corporation. The Board is responsible for policies and procedures that govern the corporate and operational affairs of the organization. Specifically, in relation to human resources, labour-management relations, internal controls and audit, legal issues, insurance, leases, contracts, purchasing and capital expenditures, banking, investments, physical plant and space usage, Elections, Appeals and The Gazette. The Board is also responsible for the oversight and employment of the USC Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Board shall approve where appropriate, policy and other recommendations received from Council, its Standing Committees (Human Resources, Governance, Finance), the USC’s Senior Managers or other professional sources. Four Positions are available. You will be required to be available for training in March 2025 - April 2025 / Term from May 2025 - May 2027. Productions Crew: The University Students’ Council at Western University is seeking Western students for part-time employment. The USC Productions Crew has the opportunity to directly impact student life and engagement at the University Students’ Council at Western University by participating in the execution of small- and large-scale events and programming. This position will allow for a direct impact on the enhancement of USC’s diverse range of operations. Reporting to the Productions Manager, the Productions Crew is responsible for providing hands-on support and staffing for events and initiatives undertaken by the USC.
