About Us

EnviroUSC is a student-led sustainability initiative at Western University dedicated to making environmentally responsible choices easier and more visible on campus. Our work focuses on practical, community-driven projects that help reduce waste, promote reuse, and encourage students to think more sustainably in their daily lives.

One of EnviroUSC’s core initiatives is CoatCycle, which we run in partnership with Western Student Services. Through CoatCycle, students can donate gently used lab coats that are no longer needed. These coats are then redistributed to other students who require them for labs and coursework, helping reduce textile waste while making essential academic materials more accessible.

EnviroUSC also hosts a semesterly sustainable clothing swap, giving students the opportunity to exchange clothing they no longer wear for items they’ll love and use. These swaps promote circular fashion, reduce textile waste, and provide a fun, community-focused way for students to participate in sustainability on campus.

In addition to these initiatives, EnviroUSC collaborates with campus partners on projects that improve waste management and environmental awareness across Western. By combining student leadership with institutional support, EnviroUSC aims to create meaningful and lasting sustainability initiatives that benefit the entire campus community. 🌱
