Early Outreach Leadership Developers
The Early Outreach Conference (REACH) is a USC-affiliated leadership conference that takes place in May for youth in the city of London. The Reach executive team works with a representative from the City of London. We do this to target elementary schools that feed into high schools with high dropout rates. The conference recognizes that many students decide their future educational pathways at an early age and hopes to provide youth with information and tools to help them make well-informed decisions. Reach is a 3-day conference that is tentatively planned to occur May 5-7 this year.
Leadership Developers (LDs) act as leaders for the grade 7 & 8 participants. At REACH, the delegates will learn about the different avenues they can pursue with respect to their education and receive guidance and motivation from both their LDs and guest speakers throughout the conference. In addition, Leadership Developers provide the delegates with a positive perception about challenging and empowering themselves and REACHing beyond their comfort zone.
Please note, as a Leadership Developer, you will be required to be present for 3 mandatory training sessions. Two of the mandatory training dates will be in March and early April, the dates and times will be announced at a later date. The third mandatory training date will be in-person the day before the conference. LDs will have overnight accommodation in residence throughout the 3-day conference
If you have any questions about the conference or the role of an LD, please do not hesitate to email Laura, Grace, and Victoria at firstname.lastname@example.org
