OUSA Delegation
The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) is a coalition of 9 student associations from across Ontario, just like the USC. You could represent Western undergraduate students at the next OUSA General Assembly this spring! We’ll be debating policy papers that will be used to lobby the provincial government, including: Student Mobility and Credit Transfer, Tuition, Ancillary, & Incidental Fees, and an all new Artificial Intelligence Paper!
Successful applicants will receive an e-mail invitation by January 19th to speak in front of the USC Council at 7 pm on January 21st where up to 9 students will be elected to represent the USC at OUSA’s Spring General Assembly.
What is OUSA?
The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) represents the interests of approximately 160,000 professional and undergraduate, full-time and part-time university students at nine student associations across Ontario. OUSA’s approach to advocacy is based on creating substantive, student-driven, and evidence-based policy recommendations. Our professional government relations practices ensure that we have the access to decision-makers we need in order for our members’ voices to influence provincial legislation and policy.
As a USC delegate at an OUSA General Assembly, you’ll represent students’ interests on various issues and work to evaluate solutions for problems students are facing through breakout policy sessions and passing policy recommendations in plenary.
