Program Overview:
Associates directly support a USC Executive in the execution of their portfolio which allows the Executive and AVP to learn from one another to improve existing processes and give new perspectives, which will benefit the student body at large. There are opportunities available in each portfolio so you can get involved in a capacity that caters to your interests. Associate Vice Presidents are paid an hourly rate for their work. Please note that these positions are full time hours for the summer and part time during the school year.
AVP University Affairs:
The AVP University Affairs will support the Vice-President University Affairs in their mandate to represent the interests of all undergraduate students at Western University by conducting research; drafting; revising, and reviewing policy; assisting in the coordination of ongoing advocacy initiatives; and liaising with the USC’s Advocacy Services Department in accordance with the USC’s advocacy initiatives and priorities. The AVP will support the Academic Coordinator, Student Experience Coordinator, Student Appeals Support Coordinator, and Wellness Equity Coordinator.
