Associates directly support a USC Executive in the execution of their portfolio which allows the Executive and AVP to learn from one another to improve existing processes and give new perspectives, which will benefit the student body at large. There are opportunities available in each portfolio so you can get involved in a capacity that caters to your interests. Associate Vice Presidents are paid an hourly rate for their work. Please note that these positions are full time hours for the summer and part time during the school year.
AVP Student Services:
The AVP Student Services is expected to support the Vice-President Student Services with the logistical operation of Clubs, Student-led services, and Governance. The AVP Student Services will support the Clubs area of the portfolio (Clubs Support Coordinator and Clubs Policy Coordinator). They will also provide support to the Coordinators executing Student-led Services (Early Outreach Conference, Food Support Services, and the Peer Support Centre). They will provide direction to the Governance Coordinator, Grant Coordinator, Gender Equality Network, Charity Coordinator and PrideUSC Coordinator as per the discretion of the VPSS.
