Western Cue Club will be hosting a pool tournament at Strokers Billiards on Saturday, January 24th. This event will feature both Singles and Doubles categories, catering to all skill levels through a tiered match-up system. There will be different brackets, and entry will be free for Western Cue Club members, while non-members will pay $10 per event or $15 to enter both Singles and Doubles. The prize system will work as follows:
Singles first place: 50$ Gift Card. 2nd place: 30$ GC 3rd: 20$GC. For doubles: First place: 40$ GC each. 2nd place: 25$ GC each. 3rd place: 10$ GC each.
Participation in the Singles category will be limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Seeding will be based on players’ skill levels to ensure balanced and fair competition. The tournament format will be finalized based on registrations and table availability, using either:
1 ) A league format, where each player/team plays approximately 3 one-game matches, with the top 8 advancing to the playoff stage, or
2) A winners-and-losers bracket, where from the Round of 16 matches are best-of-three, quarterfinals best-of-five, semifinals best-of-seven, and the final best-of-nine.
