Canadian Firearms Safety Course/Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course/Ontario Hunters Education Program
We have partnered with a local instructor, Brian Kerr, who we have worked with for several years. As a licensed instructor, he delivers the courses in a fun and engaging manner, while providing thorough details about firearms safety and operation. The courses will be delivered in-person at 21599 Cherry Hill Road, Thorndale ON, N0M 2P0.
A brief summary of available course options:
- CFSC (Canadian Firearms Safety Course): Required for obtaining your PAL (Possession and Acquisition License. Completion of this course and receiving your PAL would allow you to acquire and use non-restricted firearms.
- CRFSC (Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course): Required for obtaining the Restricted privilege on your PAL (also known as your RPAL). To take this course you must have taken the CFSC beforehand. Completion of this course and receiving your RPAL would allow you acquire and use restricted firearms.
- OHEP (Ontario Hunter Education Program). To take this course you must have taken the CFSC beforehand.
We are excited to announce $75 rebates per course for club members who complete the course through us for the FIRST 20 course sign ups! An extra $10 in rebates will be given for students who are willing to carpool. So if you are willing to drive others, you will be given $85 per course. This means if you sign-up for both the CFSC and CRFSC, you will be reimbursed for $150, and if you are willing to drive others and you take both courses, you will be given $170.
