This memorial offers a quiet space to reflect on the lives lost in Gaza and the human impact of the conflict. Through symbolic displays, the installation highlights the toll on civilians, especially children and families, while also recognizing the disruption to everyday life such as schools and community spaces. The event is not a demonstration or vigil, but rather an opportunity for passersby to pause, acknowledge the scale of loss, and reflect together on our shared humanity.
We will be displaying a series of informative boards and visual displays that present general facts about the ongoing conflict in Gaza, with particular attention to the women and children who have lost their lives. The displays will include symbolic installations that highlight the devastating toll on civilians, especially children and families, and illustrate the disruption to daily life such as schools, homes, and community spaces. In addition, the poster boards will give attendees accessible summaries of key statistics, personal stories, and resources for further learning. Will have a small talk at the end by Nabil Sultan, talking about the civilian losses and the situation, followed by a quick prayer “dua” at the end.
