Empower is hosting a social impact orientated career panel on January 26th at 6:30pm – 8pm! (Location TBD)
The aim of the panel is to discuss the roles and career paths of women in positions that have a positive social impact. We are collaborating with 3 women from the London community, including a social worker, a finance director for a major non-profit and a personal injury lawyer specializing in representing victims of sexual violence. They will be invited to share their professional and personal perspectives and insights on this topic. We believe this initiative will help provide Western students with new perspectives on how traditional careers can have social justice elements that they may not have considered before.
This event will consist of around 45 minutes of discussion guided by predetermined questions about their personal/professional trajectories and current job responsibilities, followed by a 20 minute Q&A session. We will also be holding a gift card raffle for attendees.
