Education Student Council Formal: November 2025

The Education Student Council (ESC) Formal is a signature annual event organized by the Faculty of Education’s student leadership team. It serves as a formal evening celebration for teacher candidates, providing an opportunity to connect outside of academic settings and enjoy a night of dining, music, and community. The event typically includes a catered dinner, speeches or presentations, and dancing, and is held at a venue off campus. 

More than just a social gathering, the ESC Formal fosters a sense of unity between cohorts, faculty, and staff, helping strengthen relationships across the Faculty of Education. It is open to all teacher candidates and often timed to ensure both Year 1 and Year 2 students can participate. Many students see the formal as a way to celebrate milestones, reflect on the year’s achievements, and mark the approaching end of their program in a celebratory and inclusive environment.
