Available Opportunities:  Virtual Volunteer (2)
All new volunteers must be 21 years of age or more, have lived in Canada for a year and have a credit card in order to obtain a vulnerable sector and police check. An application is filled out with 2 references (not family), and interview granted. You are a friendly person but not their friend and make them feel cared for. This raises their self-esteem, alleviates depression and loneliness and allows them to live longer and better independently in their own home.

We provide 2 training sessions, after which we match you virtually with a lonely client. You visit them once a week for a minimum of 15 minutes, maximum of an hour when your time allows. At the end of each month you send in your report. Any issues or concerns about the client, you refer back to us and we will help them. No advice giving, we train you regarding boundaries, and no discussions about religion or politics.
