Grants Committee:
The USC Grants Committee was established to preside over the disbursement of the Grant Fund, which was initiated by referendum by students in the 2010-2011 school year. The Grants Committee is chaired by the Grants Coordinator and is made up of six student-at-large members that decide and evaluate the merit of submitted grant applications in order to improve the student experience at Western University.

The Grant Fund for the 2022-2023 year is sitting at approximately $100,000 –historically, the Grants Committee has received upwards of 150 applications per year.

A Grants Committee member will be expected to attend weekly meetings and potential training sessions outside of the meeting schedule. On average, a Grants Committee member should be expected to dedicate 2-3 hours a week, and during times with higher volumes of applications, upwards of 4-5 hours a week.
