Part-Time
Posted 2 years ago

Position Description:

We are currently screening candidates for kitchen positions at The Spoke & at The Wave Restaurants, both owned and operated by the University Students’ Council at Western University. Below is a list of available positions at each location. Training dates will be set in June and will take place at the end of Aug. You must be able to attend training to accept a position at the Spoke or the Wave, and if you are a successful candidate the position officially begins September 1, 2022. You must be an active Western University student as of Fall 2022 to work at The Wave or The Spoke. If you are applying for both the Spoke or the Wave you only need to do one interview. Just indicate if you have a preference during the answer to question #1. If you don’t have a preference then just state you are happy to work for either operation.

Our hiring process consists of two parts: the one way video screening interview, which you are completing now and a live interview over zoom with a member of our management team. Our managers will be reviewing all video screenings and we will contact you if you are selected to move on to the live interview for one of our available jobs.

Candidates who applied for specifically The Spoke or The Wave, and not both, will be considered for positions only in the operation they selected when they applied. If we fill your experience and skills are better suited for one operation over the other we will let you know when we reach out.

All part-time student staff are required to work 3 shifts for a minimum average of 12-15 hours weekly. Must be an undergrad student at Western, Brescia, Huron or Kings. Employees at the Spoke or Wave cannot hold multiple part-time roles within the USC. New Hires must be able to make our all staff training at the end of August. Date will be communicated with employment offer.
