Bike Shop - Bike Rental
Purple Bikes is a non-profit cycling co-operative where anyone and everyone can access affordable DIY repairs and bicycle rentals, as well as free advice and training.
The Purple Bikes Bike Workshop is a space where any member of the London community may come to repair their bicycle. We have the tools required to perform maintenance procedures and our volunteer mechanics will advise you on how they are used. No mechanical experience is necessary, only the willingness to get your hands greasy! We also sell new and used bike parts at competitive prices. So whether you need to change a flat tire or overhaul your whole bike, Purple Bikes Workshop is here for you!
Membership to our workshop entitles you to use of our tools and expertise for its duration
1 month membership – $5
12 month membership – $20
Our shop carries a selection of new bike components and we have bins full of used parts all at affordable prices.
We offer two tiers of rentals
All bikes are lent with a helmet, light and lock.
These bikes will get you around town and campus efficiently and at affordable rates
These bikes are of higher quality and designed for the rider who wants more out of their bike.
Deposits refunded upon return of equipment at rental end. [Please beware that deposits for month rentals are required to be picked up from a separate location( room 340) in the USC because we are only allowed to keep a certain of money in the shop. We are always looking for volunteers to join us. Drop by the shop during our hours and start wrenching! We encourage people eager to learn more about bikes to come in and volunteer. Fixing up donated and participants’ bikes is a great way to gain experience, and there will always be someone knowledgeable around to offer advice and assistance.
We will gladly accept any donations of bikes, bike parts, and tools or other cool bike related things.
