USC Grants Committee

The USC Grants Committee was established to preside over the disbursement of the Grant Fund, which was initiated by referendum by students six years ago. The Grants Committee is chaired by the Grants Coordinator, and is made up of six students-at-large members, who decide and evaluate the merit of submitted grant applications in order to improve the student experience at Western University.

The Grant Fund for the 2018/2019 year, is sitting at approximately $100,000 – and historically, the Grants Committee has received upwards of 150 applications per year.

A Grants Committee member will be expected to attend at least two (2) meetings a month, and potential training sessions outside of the meeting schedule. On average, a Grants Committee member should be expected to dedicate 2-3 hours a week, and during times of higher volume of applications, upwards of 5-7 hours a week.

– USC Councillors
– USC Executive (except Secretary-Treasurer)
– Coordinators
– AVPs
– Board of Directors
– Faculty Executive
