The USC Student Refugee Fund Committee was established in 2019/2020 to preside over the disbursement of the Student Refugee Fund, which was initiated by referendum by students. The Student Refugee Fund Committee is chaired by the Grants Coordinator, and is made up of one Councilor, two students-at-large members, two representatives of the Western WUSC club, and the associate finance who decide and evaluate the merit of submitted grant applications in order to disburse funds to student refugees to financially support their studies at Western.
The Fund for the 2020/2021 year is sitting at approximately $25,000.
A Committee member will be expected to attend meetings and training sessions outside of the meeting schedule. On average, a Committee member should be expected to dedicate 2-3 hours a week.

– USC Councilors
– USC Executive (except VP Governance and Finance)
– Board of Directors
– Faculty Executive
