Learning it Together (LiT) is a dynamic, volunteer-driven health promotion program that aims to improve early literacy, numeracy, and healthy living skills through mentorship and role modeling. LiT pairs a university age mentor with a London elementary school student in grades one, two, or three and guides them through a unique eight-week after school program. The program is free of charge for participating children.

Available Opportunities: Virtual Volunteer (200)
Learning it Together (LiT) will run during the 2020-2021 school year with some modifications. Instead of attending the after school program in person, the volunteer and child will have a weekly zoom call where they follow a “program guide” which outlines specific virtual activities and online reading. The program runs from January to March during second semester (2021), and the volunteer must attend all 8 zoom sessions with the child. Any student who is a student of Western University and likes working with children is encouraged to apply!
