Canadian Alliance of Student Associations (CASA)
CASA is an alliance of 23 strong and representative student associations and student unions from across Canada. Through this network of college and university student governments, CASA represents and defends the interests of more than 300,000 post-secondary education students to federal and inter-provincial levels of government.
Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA)
OUSA strives to unite Ontario’s full and part-time undergraduate students to lobby for better student aid, fair tuition fees, greater university accountability and more government funding for universities. OUSA provides research and ideas to governments and the public on how to improve the quality and accessibility of post-secondary education in Ontario.
Accessibility Commissioner

The Students with Disabilities Commissioner initiates programs that generate awareness of the challenges faced by students with disabilities. She convenes and chairs a Committee for Students with Disabilities of the USC, and investigates policies and procedures that inhibit physical accessibility. Furthermore, she liaises with the University’s Access program, and students with disabilities at the University.

The Commissioner at Large for the VP – University Affairs performs various duties relating to all aspects of the University Affairs portfolio, at the discretion of the VP – University Affairs.
Early Outreach Commissioner

Serves as program director for the USC Grade 8 Early Outreach Leadership Conference. Works with VP University Affairs and the Internal Affairs coordinator to promote the values and benefits of an early outreach strategy intended increase access and participation in post-secondary education from college to the skilled trades to university.
External Affairs Coordinator

The External Affairs Coordinator liaises with the municipal, provincial and federal governments, and oversees the implementation of yearly strategies as developed by the Vice-President University Affairs through the Municipal, Provincial and Federal Affairs Commissioners. The External Affairs Coordinator shall also lobby groups external to the University about academic and socio-political issues that impact the greater good of students in a manner consistent with the policies and objectives of the USC.

The Federal Affairs Commissioner shall facilitate a CASA presence on campus and addresses current Federal issues, in consultation with the Vice-President University Affairs. The Federal Affairs Commissioner shall also work with the External Affairs Coordinator to address current Federal issues and events within the University setting.
Internal Affairs Coordinator

The Internal Affairs coordinator acts to support the Vice President University Affairs and service and academic related commissioners to ensure the promotion of the internal advocacy agenda.
Municipal Affairs Commissioner

The Municipal Affairs Commissioner is responsible for liaising with the municipal government as well as the London Community and surrounding area through outreach programs. The Municipal Affairs Commissioner shall also work with the Vice-President University Affairs and the Municipal Affairs Committee to execute Municipal programming and respond to local issues.
Provincial Affairs Commissioner

The Provincial Affairs Commissioner shall actively promote and increase the on-campus presence of OUSA. The Provincial Affairs Commissioner shall also work with the External Affairs Coordinator to address current Provincial issues and events within the University setting.
Teaching and Learning Services Commissioner

The Teaching and Learning Services Commissioner is responsible for working with the Student Development Centre’s Career Services and other relevant organizations within the University community to relay information to students. The Teaching and Learning Services Commissioner also liaises with community organizations in London to promote student employment and educational opportunities.

The Teaching Awards Commissioner, in conjunction with the Teaching Awards Committee that he chairs, organizes and executes all aspects of the USC Teaching Awards Program in order to recognize excellence in undergraduate teaching at Western.
