USC Coordinators are volunteer leadership positions held by undergraduate students. Coordinators work to engage students in meaningful extracurricular pursuits, while supporting the programming interests and advocacy platforms of the USC Executive. As resource providers, service programmers, event planners, social educators, policy writers and creative designers, Coordinators contribute immensely to the overall student experience at Western.
The USC strives to develop its Coordinators into high performing leaders through ongoing job-training and professional development. Some Coordinators receive an honorarium for their work, although most positions are unpaid. Holding a Coordinator position does require a fixed time commitment (on average between 5-15 hours per week), but hours are flexible depending on academic duties.
