The University Student Council (USC)’s Food Support Services (FSS) is UWO’s on-campus food bank and is dedicated to increasing food stability while reducing food insecurity. Food hampers are available for UWO undergraduate students, can be requested at any time and filled by volunteers and should contain enough food for two days. Students are able to request in paper, online and in person format. We attempt to fill these requests as soon as possible, and may be filled as soon as twenty-four hours. Food can also be taken from our offices (UCC 258) during open hours and by appointments based on the availability of our dedicated volunteers. Our service is completely anonymous, and volunteer-run.
FSS would also like to provide educational sessions to students in order to erase the stigma behind food insecurity and to shed lights on food issues on a global and local scale. We would like to invite all UWO students to learn about our services through volunteering with FSS, interacting with our social media pages and attending our events.
The PDF version will still be accepted, but we love to offer more options for everyone.
