Is the University Pharmacy open?
Yes, the University Pharmacy is open, but with reduced walk-in hours. The new walk-in hours will coincide with the new in-person hours for Student Health Services. The pharmacy will be open for walk-ins on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. The pharmacy will be closed to walk-ins at all other times.

How do I get to the University Pharmacy on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the walk-in hours?
Only one set of doors to the University Community Centre (UCC) building will be unlocked on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. All pharmacy customers are asked to use Exit 27 near Student Health Services and Life Labs. This exit can be accessed via a staircase on Concrete Beach or via the pedestrian tunnel under Oxford Dr., which is accessed between Lawson Hall and Somerville House. This entrance is accessible.

Can my doctor fax or phone in my prescription instead so I don’t have to drop it off at the pharmacy?
In fact, whenever possible please ask your doctor to fax or phone in your prescription to support physical distancing and avoid an unnecessary visit to the pharmacy. Your doctor can fax prescriptions to 519-661-4092 or phone in a verbal prescription by calling 519-661-4058.

Can I have my prescriptions delivered instead of picking them up from the pharmacy?
In fact, we prefer that you have your prescription delivered to support physical distancing and avoid an unnecessary visit to the pharmacy. The pharmacy will deliver any prescription medication to your home for no additional fee. Please call 519-661-4058 to request this service. Note, clients will need to pay any charge for their prescription by credit card over the phone prior to delivery.

What do I do if I have a prescription that I already dropped off at the University Pharmacy but haven’t picked up yet?
Anyone who has already dropped off a prescription at the University Pharmacy will be contacted on Wednesday, March 25th and provided with an option to pick up their prescription on Thursday, March 26th between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. or have their prescription delivered to their home in London for no additional fee. Clients will need to pay any charge for the prescriptions by credit card over the phone prior to delivery.

Can I pick up my prescription at a different pharmacy instead of attending the new walk-in hours or having it delivered?
Prescriptions can also be picked up at the Plaza Pharmacy in Books Plus, at the corner of Western Rd. and Sarnia Rd., near Perth Hall. Plaza Pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Please call 519-661-4058 to request this alternative pick up location.

Can I have my prescription transferred to another pharmacy in London, or in another city if I left campus?
The University Pharmacy can transfer your prescription to any other pharmacy in Canada. To have your prescription transferred, please ask your new pharmacy to call the University Pharmacy at 519-661-5058 and request the transfer.

What is the next closest pharmacy if I need to purchase other items, like over the counter medication or personal hygiene products outside of the new walk-in hours?
The next closest pharmacy is Plaza Pharmacy, located in Books Plus, at the corner of Western Rd. and Sarnia Rd. near Perth Hall. Their hours of operation are: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Please visit SouthWest Health Line’s website for a full list of pharmacies in London, which may have extended weekend and evening hours.

Can I complete other shopping during the pharmacy’s new walk-in hours, or only fill and pick up prescriptions?
The pharmacy will be open for regular shopping during their new walk-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. Customers must practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet apart from each other and the number of customers allowed into the pharmacy at one time may be limited.

Can I have other items delivered, like over the counter medication and personal hygiene products?
The University Pharmacy will deliver any items for sale at their pharmacy location to residential homes in London. Note, there is a $6.50 delivery fee for items that are not prescription medications. Clients will need to pay the item cost and delivery fee by credit card over the phone prior to delivery. Please call 519-661-4058 to place an order for delivery.

Canada Post Storefront in the University Pharmacy

Is the Canada Post storefront in the University Pharmacy open?
No, the Canada Post storefront in the University Pharmacy is closed, effective immediately. It will not open on Tuesday or Thursday mornings when the pharmacy opens.

Can I still ship packages to the Canada Post storefront through FlexDelivery or from other e-commerce sites such as Amazon?
No, the Canada Post storefront at the UCC is completely closed and cannot accept packages. Please do not ship any items to this Post Office, even if it still appears as an option on your e-commerce site such as Amazon.

What do I do if I have mail or a package that is waiting for pick up at the UCC Post Office storefront?
Any mail or packages that are currently at the Canada Post storefront and awaiting customer pick up will be held until after the campus closure is lifted and the storefront reopens. As a general policy, mail and packages are held for three months until they are returned to the sender.

What will happen to any mail or packages that I have already sent to the UCC Canada Post storefront for pick up?
Canada Post has advised that any mail or packages shipped to the UCC storefront for customer pick up will instead be redirected to the Canada Post office at Masonville Mall or Cherryhill Village Mall – whichever is closer to the customers residential address in London.
