What we’ve done for you:

We will continually update this page when our priorities become a reality.

  • In 2017, students will enjoy a fall reading week after many hours of our USC advocating and lobbying for and on behalf of students. To promote and maintain student health, the USC made is a priority to introduce an extended break for students and appreciate student feedback and comments throughout the process. The USC hopes to continue advocacy initiatives like the fall reading week to enhance and maintain the best student experience in Canada.
  • Lobbied extensively to all city councillors, including the Mayor, to ensure the implementation of the Bus Rapid Transit System in London to improve frequent, reliable, transit service for all students.
  • Lobbied City Councillors and participated in public consultations to ensure Uber will continue to operate in the City for students.
  • In collaboration with our provincial university student partners in the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance we’ve been able to meet students’ needs province-wide. For example, we were successful in securing a commitment from the Government of Ontario to develop common institutional reporting metrics for campus sexual violence prevention & response.
